What accessibility features are there, and how can I use them?

Juan Vasquez -

There are a number of useful accessibility features available for everyone.

(1) High Contrast Theme
Users can enable a high-contrast visual theme to improve text clarity, visual differentiation, and overall legibility. This supports users with low vision or color-vision impairments.

Where to Find This Feature:

The High Contrast Theme is located towards the top-right of the interface. Image below for reference.high_contrast.png

(2) Customizable Map Color Palettes
Users can choose from preset color schemes or create custom palettes by selecting colors manually or entering specific color codes. This allows users with color-vision deficiencies to adjust thematic maps to combinations that maximize contrast and personal visibility.

How To Use this feature:

Click "Edit" on the Map Legend, and select one of the color ranges you are interested in editing. Users have the option to use a palette, RGB, or HSL to create a new, customized color scheme.

(3) Full Data Export Options
All data and visual outputs, including maps, reports, and data visualizations can be exported into common spreadsheet formats (such as CSV or Excel). This enables users who may not be able to interpret visualizations to access all underlying data in alternative formats that work better with their assistive tools.

How To Use this feature:

At the top-right of any view, click on "View Actions" > "Create Data Table" - below is an example of how you can export out the underlying data of a Scatter Plot.

(4) Operable at 200% Zoom Without Loss of Functionality
The interface remains fully usable and readable at 200% browser zoom, ensuring that users with low vision or magnification needs can navigate and operate the application without encountering clipping, overlap, or loss of content.

How To Use this feature:

Use your browser's built in Zoom functionality up to 200%. Below is an example of where to find that in Chrome. Click on the 3-dot menu located towards the top right, and select the plus or minus options to your preference.
