If you are having issues finding a specific Zip Code, it may be a brand new ZIP / Postal Code or a discontinued ZIP / Postal Code. Our codes are always updated to the current year so if you are not finding an expected code, the data for that code may become available during a future data update. There are also sometimes ZIP codes which are part of a special campus (e.g., universities, large privately managed residential communities, military bases) which are not officially census ZIP / Postal Codes. To map an area with an invalid ZIP / Postal Code, try switching to another geographic unit and mapping a nearby city, or census tract.
